Hi Lisa , I also live on Montemar, I don’t think you can get the test done in Algorfa but I know several people that have used the pharmacy at El Raso which is about a 10-15 minute drive & costs approximately 40.00 euros ( cash only ) but I would recommend you book early as it’s very popular.

Hi Lisa. You might find Saynsa del Levante of use, and based on my experience I would recommend them. They are on the Algorfa side of Almoradi (near the Mercadona) so not far for you. I recently had my antigen test there after I found El Raso was fully booked. They charge €40 by card or cash and can be booked online or via a phone call. I rang and their English is good. In fact I think phoning is better as they were able to ask my date of flight and mentioned for the test to be the day before my departure. The results were back in just 7 mins and I was given it in printed form and it was also available in an email if preferred.

The website is sanysadelevante.com and it’s a Wellness centre. They are open until quite late, 8.30pm. My appointment was 7pm and it was on time so no wait.

Thanks so much. I will try them later. I would feel happier having an appointment. Is the Antigen test suitable. I have had both jabs in the UK. It will be,so lovely to see my little place again.

The antigen test is fine to return to the UK. No point in having the more expensive full PCR test, which as well as costing more, takes longer for the result. I’ve just looked at Saysa’s website and it looks like they have restricted their hours since the time I had my appointment in late July. The reduction is probably due to Spanish holidays that started from the beginning of August. Wherever you book, please remember to take your passport on the day as they will make a copy for their records.

Hopefully you have read that before you return you will need to have sorted the 2 day test for when back in the UK. Whoever is your airline will have discounts for certain test providers. When booked the provider will give you a code that you will need for completion of the Passenger Locator Form.

Of course, things could change, so look out for the latest details from the UK government.

Please don’t let all the bureaucracy and the testing detract you from having a great few days out in Spain!
