Exchange rate

Hi .we are coming to La florida for a months holiday. and was wondering is it better to change Stirling to euros in Spain or here in the uk .thank you for any replies. looking forward to some sun !

Get yourself a Wise AC and card.

You can transfer sterling to that at zero cost then convert it to Euros in the app at a top rate and for next to nothing in charges.

Use the card in Spain where just about everything can be paid for contactlessly.

You can draw cash (Euros) from ATMs but you will pay local charges.

There is little difference in the exchange rates UK and Spain so whichever is easiest.

Todays Exchange rate is at €1.12 here in Benidorm.

Banks in Spain are not service minded, and will often refuse servicing non customers. Currency exchange offices are not to be found everywhere. You will find them at international airports though.
