...we stick to the usual way of a money exchange company and transfer the money??

Also be grateful if you could advise if it is better to hold a WISE account in pounds or euros.

...ll my Spanish DD’s from the Euro account, the Wise account will give you a debit card where you can use in any conundrum that you hold funds within. In my case, when in Spain or UAE, if I purchase anything with my card, the debit is made from the account of the relevant country that There are no conversion rates to be taken out either! Wise is really simple and efficient to use, but for some reason they don’t offer joint accounts - as far as I am aware?!

I heartily recommend Wise, but from memory, the first time I did a transfer of many thousands, they needed to do extra checks on ID - so I suggest you do a test transfer well before your completion date - or maybe just ask them.
