Good morning - We are coming over to La Mata this week to stay for a couple of months. We have been looking at various news reports regarding restrictions in Spain/Valencia. Is the Covid pass in operation along with mask wearing outdoors and in restaurants  in La Mata - These were not in place on our last visit in November but numbers are much higher now..we have our covid passports but just want to check just in case there are other restrictions we haven't heard about. Many thanks in advance for any update.

Yes, you’re right about the changes since your last visit. You now have to wear masks outdoors and need to show covid passport and photo ID to get into  and sit on the terrace of bars/restaurants.

In fact face masks should be worn when outside, if you are coming within 1.5 metres of someone, and also whenever you go into or move around in shops, etc. and bars and restaurants (until you are actually drinking and/or eating).
