Uber?

Does the cab calling app Uber work in the La Mata / Torrevieja area or are there any other apps which work better? Thank you
Only Madrid and Barcelona have Uber in Spain.
Not sure there is an equivalent here, Cabify is only in certain cities with Alicante and Murcia being the only ones around us.
Regulations for taxi drivers are very strict around here and they must be licenced by the ayuntamiento.

Are there any apps for the regular taxi firms ? Whenever I’ve booked by phone they’ve never turned up.

I’d be joining a Facebook page, if you use it, for your area . Post on there asking for recommendations for reliable taxis .

You might find it easier to ask your local bar to order one for you. In my experience, a taxi will then show up in a matter of minutes.

Radio Taxis works for me. Always turns up if I’ve pebooked by phone & operator speaks English.
