Hi all
I'm looking for recommendations for a notary to draw up a will for myself and my wife after buying a property, we've been quoted €200 each by our lawyer which we think is a rip off .
In or close by to torrevieja would be our preferred area .

Coincidentally, my husband and I are looking to update our UK wills and I've been in contact with Thy Will Be Done, a company based in Ciudad Quesada, that advertises the provision of Spanish wills starting at €99.99 and UK wills at £49.99. I can't recommend them, as I haven't yet used them. Alternatively, if your Spanish will requirements are straightforward, you could cut out a lawyer and go straight to a notary. If you do a Google search for notaries in your area, you could then call them for a quotation.

Hi, We used Notaría de José Carlos Pérez Juan in Almoradi to draw up our Spanish wills as no assets in England and no children. It cost us 57€ each a couple of years or so ago and don't think its changed much in price. We first enquired online then sent forms to fill in. After that an appointment to go in person read up the drafted wills and check all was correct then all signed and printed. Whole process less than 2 weeks. Highly recommend them as courteous and if you don't speak Spanish they'll speak English.

Would agree with MadCatwoman we also used them, very good service, this was a couple of years ago and I feel the fee was still the same, spoke excellent English.
