Looking to purchase a holiday home in Le Zenia, not looking to relocate purely holidays for me and family so no rental. After advice on the area, any tips or advice on property purchase. Looking for a property around 100,000 euro 2 bed with good access (walk / bus ) to pool, beech, shops bars and restaurants. Enjoy going out so looking for an area with good bars and restaurants. Was thinking La Zenia but open to suggestions. Coming out mid summer to start viewing so just gathering as much information as possible at the moment. Thanks in advance for any tips or advice

Plenty of Properties  on the market  in La  Zenia, Your  budget  at  lower end of Market,  but  you will get a Property,

Allow  15%  on  top of  Purchase price  for Taxes  Lawyers,  Have a few Euros  set aside  for minor work to  Apartment  and some Furniture,

Never give Deposit  to Estate agents   Get your  own Solicitors,

When you find a property  you like, getting  talking  with Local  Residents,  Talk with President  of Complex,  Check opening hours  of Swimming pool  as they vary a lot, come  back  in evening  and weekend  to check out Complex,

Try to  purchase  a South  facing  property  much better in  evening  in cold  months

Check  all  electrical and water  appliances,

But to finish  off  the Golden  rule here  is  Rent  before  you  Buy,  mistake  can  cost  Thousands,  Prices  tend to be rising

Thanks for the advice, much appreciated and will certainly consider all the things you mention. I have noted the comment around renting. I plan on a few visits out there to explore the area as appreciate getting it wrong could be costly.

I  would  look at  North  Side of Torrevieja,   La  Siesta,   El  Chaparral,  El  Limonar,   as your budget  will  go future,  Properties  a bit  older,  close to Habernas  and Carrefour Shopping complex

My aunt has a place in Amapolis 2. We go once a year. I love it. 10 minutes walk to all amenities. (Beach, boulavard & restaurants) Gated community maybe 40 properties. One steep hill to paddy point. Worth a consideration. The complex & the area.

When we bought the agent took us around the different areas and different styles of property. We eventually bought in Punta Prima even though Flaya Flamenca and La Zenia were our initial preferred area. We could not be happier with our choice and have even bought a bigger property here. Visit all the areas to get a good feel for them. We didnt rent and bought on our first visit . Good luck in your search

A few visits is no way the same as renting for 5 or 6 months.

Good luck, J
