I could ask €130K for my property which is the same as ones nearby but I have decided to advertise it for €99,950 as priced to sell as we have bought another nearby, anyone want details let me know and I'll message you the link

Hi Lee

Can you provide me with some details about your property please. We are hoping to get across soon to look at areas and properties.

Thanks

I hope to get out there soon and was wondering how buoyant the market is now?

It was also suggested  to me that I engage a Spanish property expert to make any offer (on my behalf) as they could obtain a lower price than I could. I'm not sure this is the case or is it simply another expense?

Any wiews much appreciated,

Russ from Ireland

The offer you make should take into account the amount of work required to bring it up to what you require, does the kitchen and bathroom/s need updating? These are high ticket items and any offer should reflect that.

If you are buying the property as a holiday home and these works need doing are you going to come over and spend 2 weeks on a building site with no access to a working bathroom or kitchen, if you decide to get these done before you arrive how are the works going to be managed its difficult to project manage when you are not on site checking the builders are turning up when they say they will and not sloping off to do other jobs, builders will take it to the wire if you are not on site they will still be working on it when you land! Then you need to factor in time to sort out any snagging issues

Thanks for your  advice on the matter of property purchase. FYI I have bitten the bullet and purchased my dream Winter home. I expect to have completed the deal mid September.

Again many thanks for your advice. It was most helpful,

Cheers Russell

That's exciting news. Any actuals to share with those about to follow in your foot steps? Did you find the delta between asking and purchase price to be about where you thought it would be? Did you look at many properties or find the one quickly?

Congrats.
