If you want to live and work in Spain you will need to firstly apply and be accepted for a position. If you have secured employment then your prospective employer will need to apply for a work visa on your behalf from the Spanish consulate in London, Manchester or Edinburgh.

Since Brexit all available work in Spain must be offered to an EU citizen first by law. Employment is Spain by a UK passport holder is illegal without firstly securing a work visa.

If you have secured a work visa then you can move over to Spain and apply for residency within the first month.

To live permanently in Spain requires some sort of visa be it a work visa or non lucrative visa.

It would have been far better for everyone if you stated that on your first post........

Hi, my restaurant is looking for a chef, is there any potential your arrival date could be moved up? We'd be very interested if you were available?

Thanks very much
