Visa

My son's partner has been refused a visa to come and visit us in August. She is Zimbabwean, has been to Spain before and her 5yr old son has a UK passport. In support of her visa I've provided proof of return flights, a letter of invitation, confirmation that we will support her financially and travel insurance details.
"Justification for the purpose and conditions of the of the intended stay was not provided"......I'm not sure what else she/ I could have provided, and certainly the interview at the time was positive and following it she has no reason to suspect a refusal.
Does anyone have any advice as to how we can appeal? They were due to arrive 1st August
