We had our last boosters before Christmas last year at the Salud. If we would like another one now (it's been over 6 months) is it the just the matter of turning up at the Salud or do we need to be invited?

If that was your second booster then that is all that is being done here in Spain at the moment. They will be starting the flu vaccine campaign, usually in the last week of October, and will be administering a covid booster at the same time.
The plan in Spain is to give one covid vaccine a year alongside the flu vaccine which is also once a year.
Of course, if the situation changes, the administration of vaccines could change as well.

Spain's Ministry of Health is already preparing the next vaccination campaign against Covid-19. It will coincide with the flu campaign and will be focused on the older population and those suffering from some type of chronic illness. The National Health Commission has ruled out a general vaccination campaign for the entire population, but does highlight several 'target' groups.
