I need free packing boxes to move back to UK

You could try your local supermarket, I remember a time when supermarkets used to put all their empty boxes behind the tills for anyone to help themselves.

I wouldn’t hold out much hope of that, it’s hassle for them these days. It’s all set up for them to be flattened and sent for recycling in bulk, plus Fire regs. I managed to obtain 2 x vegetable boxes from one the other day, but they weren’t over enthusiastic! You can buy a large assortment of packingboxes from Leroy Merlin.
