Where to meet new freinds and like minded peoples -

We are intending to live in Mil Palmeras from September - This being after several trips we are now looking to make the permanent move -
this will be our fact findings, searching mode for the 'dream retirement '....after already being disappointed with an area we thought would be ours we are now looking seriously into spending time in several locations just to be sure!!
Are there any clubs, meets and greets, that accommodate newbies, ex-pats, mature (not old) like minded persons, don't take life to seriously,
fun loving but quite grounded.
