Hi Everyone.

We would like to introduce ourselves.

We have had a home in the Monovar area for a number of years now. We visit as often as we can. We will be moving to Monovar full time next as we love the area and life so much, great place to retire too, we are in our 50,s and hope to meet you all sometime.

Does any one know of a good car dealer, new or used, local or in the Alicante Province. We have not looked until know.

Best Wishes

Ed

Hi Ed

We bought in Monovar last year, near the bull ring.  We are going out tomorrow to get electric and water turned on, coming back next Thursday.

Where in Monovar are you, we thought there were no Brits there!

We live in South Wales

Regards

Helen & Clive

Hi Helen and Chris and Tony

Good to here from you all.

We have lived in Monovar for some 10 years know. We absolutely enjoy every minute we are here hence moving permanently next year.

We live outside the town some 8km into the country side.

We live in Sussex, England.

If I'm honest, we have not spent much time in the town only to visit the Mercadona, our favourite supermarket.

Have never been to Agost either, hopefully we will when we get more time or even make time.

We seem to get too engrossed into doing things on the land and then run out of time, lol

Hopefully we will catch up when we are in Spain at the same time.

Hope all goes ok with electric and water, it can be a pain.

Best regards

Ed and Kate

Hi Ed and Kate

Good luck with your permanent move to Monovar  , I have only visited it a few times , once we went to see the leaning clock tower , also took a look at some cave houses there ,

We have been living permanently in Agost for 13 years now , it is a good place to buy pottery and watch the potters at work ! we also have a very good garden centre here .

I Know what you mean about always being busy on the land , there is always something to  do on a finca , but quite pleasnt   to work in the sun !!

Cheers Tony

Hello Helen and Clive,

We also live in South Wales, but are not Welsh. We would like to meet some people from Monovar in Monovar.

To speak to English speaking people we travel to La Romana and Pinoso.

We bought our property 12 years ago and visit for different lengths of time each year.

We came 2 weeks ago and are here until the middle of June.

Is there anyone out there like us?  We just want a chat and make friends close to where we live.  i.e. in the campo of Monovar towards Pinoso.

Are there any meeting places for English speaking people in Monovar?

Rita and Peter

Hello Ed and Kate

I agree with you,Mercadona in Monovar has everything you need.

We love this area also, but now that we visit for longer we need to make some English speaking friends.

We are in our 70's now and slowing down, so have more time to chat and would love to find people in this town who feel the same.

Rita and Peter
