Thanks both

Will give it a go as plenty of time before 2021/22 return due. Might well be on here for a bit more support :-)

I guess I will have to do one for my wife as well as she is joint owner of Spanish property so we have to do a Spanish rental income return for her as well.

I would also recommend the Government Gateway option within the HMRC website.

Using that service you will be given a UTR number. Once you have the number all your information is saved in a personal file within the HMRC portal. You will also have your own personal messaging option and alerts.

Like a lot of these things it can look a bit daunting but once you've done it the first time it's pretty straightforward.

Thanks,

Have govt gateway and use it for pension info, etc so am familiar with that.

Whether and how to top up my state pension before I get there is another of my jobs to get sorted :-)

Well I've made a start and have got to:

Details for EEA furnished holiday lettings (Page 1 of 2)

Have put total income in first box (UK Property 17).Most other boxes on pages 1 and 2 are optional and don't seem relevant but I can't see where I can indicate tax paid in Spain so that I am not taxed again.

Any pointers welcome!

Thanks
