Hi

Looking for a new phone contract and wondered what the general opinion regarding the signal on a UK phone on Vodafone, EE and O2 for using data  in the Moraira / Calp / Javea / Jalon areas was. I can't consider 'Three/3' as the signal at home in the UK is poor and thats where it will be used most.

I was on Voda last time I visited which was reasonable although I struggled to download a bank app in the middle of Moraira when I needed it. There are good deals around for all three networks at the moment.

Thanks.

Jon

I use my three phone in Moraira and never have a problem, it does roam and seek the best signal.

I think Orange, Vodaphone and Movistar all have 4g coverage in the area

Thanks. It's a shame three is so poor around me as they do have some very good deals.

Thanks Grahame

performance in the UK is my primary concern but all 3 mentioned do well here.

I was interested in peoples experience of data use (preferably 4G but 3G would do) as I would like to tether my Chromebook when out and about away from wireless.

It is my understanding each network has its preferrred partner esp for 4G - except Voda which has its own presence in Spain.

EE list:
SPAIN Telefonica Moviles and Spain SPAIN Xfera Moviles

I think O2 are part of the same company as Movistar.

However, your experience of connecting to Movistar on EE is interesting. Did you get good 4G coverage when using Movistar via EE and O2?

Regards

Jon

Thanks Marilyn,

Maybe it was having an off moment in feb. Do you find you get a decent data signal in and around Moraira?

Yes, we do. Actually better than where we live in the UK! We've found Vodafone to be pretty good everywhere we've been in Spain
