I’ve just been listening to a discussion on the radio, with a representative (sorry, missed his title) of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine

They’re examining the potential for dogs to “sniff out” Coronavirus.

That dogs have the ability to assist in so many different areas of our lives, I really hope this has legs. Wouldn’t that be great? Real progress 🤞🤪🥂

This was being talked about back in April.

Hi Ang,

Dogs have been used in sniffing out cancer and other diseases, such as Parkinson's and Malaria, in humans for more than a decade, so it seems plausible that they could be trained to detect Covid-19 too.

Kind regards,

Kim

Hi Kim

Did you hear the discussion? They were asking for anyone who has been diagnosed to send in socks and other articles of clothing, for the dogs to practice. It did make me smile 😊

I am always in awe of dogs, and other working animals. They give so freely to us, often for little, or indeed nothing, in return🤪🥂

Off topic, but if a man locked his wife and dog in the boot of his car for half an hour, which one of them would be pleased to see him when he let them out?

No I didn't post it, I was simply saying that research into it had been going on for a while.
