Hi folks, My Mother-in-law lives in the town and has had a recent fall, which landed her in the hospital in Denia. My wife is out there now with her trying to work things out and help with hospital appointments, etc., but I wonder if anyone knows of people locally who can help with medical translations so she can understand what is going on and also help with the house once my wife comes home.If anyone knows how Denia hospital gets people in for outpatients that would be amazing.

Sorry to hear this. For new and follow up appointments the hospital will use the Spanish telephone number your mother in law registered with her Medical Centre. Sometimes just a text, but sometimes a call with a text confirmation that follows.

Help of Denia may be able to assist with translation at appointments. I have also attached a screenshot of a care company that provides home assistance tailored to needs.

Best regards, Steve

At the reception desk in the main central entrance hall in Denia hospital, there are notices re translators, who are easily available, but presume you will need to book them.
