Both of the above are why I suggested employing a Gestor. It took approximately ten days to obtain the relevant appointments at a cost of some twenty euros each, which seemed perfectly reasonable.

Sounds very reasonable but as we are in the Uk, travelling out 10/4 we don’t know how to search for a gestor. Any tips please? We are heading to Alicante(northern) TIA

Just do a Google search for 'gestorías en Denia' or whichever town you'll be in. Then read the reviews to help you to choose one. There'll be several wherever you look.
