Unfortunately it is a lottery, I ordered 2 items from Marks & Spencer Spain total value €52 duty €26.01 my husband ordered an item from Cotton traders value £35 no duty charged??

No one can explain the logic (if there is any) in the amounts being charged and when, as I said in another post on the subject, it feels like it depends on the mood of the courier and which way the wind is blowing when the item is delivered.

I did get a refund from M & S fortunately,  ever the glutton for punishment I have ordered a set of Teddy fleece bedding from M & S value of order €60 + €8 postage, will be interesting to find out if any duty will be charged.

When I lived in the UK and ordered video games from Japan and Canada I think the max value to avoid duty was £18.  A quick Google suggests for Spain it's 22 Euros, so not dissimilar. Although, to be honest, Google wasn't that helpful - looks like it's one of those things that's really hard to find the actual rules for.

Parcel delivered today by SEUR no duty. If this is something caused by Brexit why are only some carriers charging duty?

Someone on another forum has just paid 7.48€ to receive a calendar from the U.K.

RRP of calendar was £9.99

Doesn’t make sense
