Or one of the many that has already been posted. Open up with view new posts and you'll see that they are not new nor are they being done. But it's been talked about many, many times. Tebo has given you just a couple of links and they are just this week alone.

But just to point out they are the same conditions UK can utilise for non Brit tourists.

To just put this to bed, these are rules that are laid down for a non UK citizen visiting UK with no hotel accommodation booked.

"Accommodation and travel details- confirmation of accommodation booking. If you will be staying with your family member/ friend for the duration of their stay in the UK you should provide proof of the address (e.g. a copy of tenancy agreement). Evidence you can pay the cost of your return travel from the UK by showing funds or a return ticket".

"u may be confused about how to meet sufficient funds since the Home Office has made it mandatory for entry officers to ensure visitors’ income or savings are sufficient to meet the likely costs during their stay in the UK and that their expenses are reasonable based on their financial situation.

Based on this, if you’re travelling alone and you think your trip will cost £2,000, the recommended amount in your bank account should be at least £3,000 over the preceding six months. Though a trip may not necessarily cost as much as that, it is advisable to have more funds in your bank account than the estimated cost of the trip.

Again, the Home Office didn’t set a fixed minimum bank balance for a UK Visit  but having the recommended bank balance demonstrates that you have sufficient maintenance funds."

See any differences with what is required for non UK citizens visiting UK to that required by Spain for non EU citizens? Anyone know anyone who has been asked for any of this when entering UK?

On a US site (where they don't need visas) they are told to take documentary evidence of accommodation, income and return travel arrangements. On that site, not one person has said they have been asked for any when entering UK except for "what is the purpose of your visit?" Saying visiting family or tourism is always sufficient as it is when coming to Spain from outside the EU. All these governments should add "if asked" on their websites.
