Can anyone help I have a small Wi-Fi receiver on the sun terrace and last night during the high winds the wifi went off, there is power to it but no lights are lighting up at the back of the box the router is also connected I rely on this for the television. Being a pensioner I am not good with technology can anyone point me in the right direction, I have tried phoning the letting agent who are a waste of time and can't get hold of the Landlord.

Thank youu

Ian.

Whatever the reason may be, the owner/landlord is fully responsible for any malfunction of what you pay for. It appears to me that the signal ist lost somewhere and does not reach you. Strong winds may be the cause.

Two things:

the winds have dislodged a cable on your antenna (easily done)

you have an issue with the power supply to the antenna (usually a small black box near your router with two ethernet cables going to it - one from the antenna, on to your router. either this unit has no power (should have a small power light on it), or the cables have been dislodged) - either of these can mean that you are showing no connection on your router. easy to check yourself.

otherwise, contact the provider if you arranged for its install, or the landlord...
