Hello Philip,
I moved permanently to Oliva in March. There is a significant mobile population who come here for holidays. Also there is a large amount of British, German and other Europeans who are either permanent residents or they have their holiday homes here. I have heard Oliva described as a working town so I can tell you there isn't a significant party nightlife like Benidorm or even Denia and Gandia, but those places are not far.
We have many local bars / Pubs, restaurants, the town has organized events according to the local customs and there is a significant beach nightlife during the summer months. There is an theater in the town showing movies in languages both in Spanish and certain nights the original version language so it's great for English speakers. It is a quieter life here and that is what I love. The beaches are beautiful, the people of multiple nationalities I meet here are kind and the weather is nice with all different seasons possible.
Regards,
Susan
Hello Susan
Thank you for your reply.
The lack of night life like Benidorm certainly appeals to me.
I like the idea of bars to meet people, bbqs and a nice relaxing life style. Oliva certainly
sounds a nice place to live.
Hope to be over for a look in the very near future.
Best Regards
Philip
