Hi Derek,

I bought mine from the local council office this year (La Manga) It's a strange procedure but they were very helpful.

Day 1.  I arrived at the office to apply for a licence. They gave me a form and 3 bank slips. I made an appointment for the next day at 10.00 and left.  I went to the bank, gave them the slips, paid 10Euro, they stamped the slips and gave 2 copies back.

I filled the forms out, some personal info, email address etc and the type of licence you require. Terra, from the land, submarine, from a boat.

Day 2, I went back to the office, gave them the bank slips and the form. The form says you need 2 x passport photo's, this is only if you are boat fishing, you don't need them for a Terra licence, so they gave me my photo's back.

3 days later, I received my licence by email and was legal to fish. The licence lasts for 3 years and you are required to keep it with you at all times when fishing. I've got mine on my phone.

P.s. My local ferriteria used to sell licences as they stock a large amount of tackle and bait. They were very good and gave me all the info I needed. From what I can gather, most tackle shops will give you good advice on where to go, what to do etc.

When fishing, there are area's you cannot fish and certain baits you cannot use, you will need to translate your licence to English to getter a better understanding of prohibited baits and the minimum sizes for keepers . As per the UK, harbour's, marina's are no fishing area's as are some beaches during the day.

I know this is different to what you asked, but if you can't find a way to do it on line, hopefully this helps.

That’s a great help, thanks, one more thing Adrian is what bait is best for winter from shore and what species are about , December to March?
