Is there a primary health centre in Oliva? If so where and what’s the best way to register?

Hello,
There is a salud in Oliva.... Whether you can register there depends on several things. Are you resident in Spain or here as a non resident visitor ? Are you pension age & in possession of a form S1 or do you already have a SIP card --- alternatively, do you have Private Health Insurance?

Hi, thanks for the prompt reply. I have my NIE and yep a pensioner! I do have private medical insurance with Sanitas. I was trying to get the COVID vaccine through them but they advised me they are not administering it as yet and I could register with local primary health and get it that way as I am in the +75 age group. What is the S1 form?

I am resident and understand that our age group (70s) may not be vaccinated until April/May time. The S1 is the form that you should have requested from the UK in order to be able to come under the reciprocal health cover for pensioners for when you obtained your residency. That was required prior to 31st December 2020. It may help you if you have a look at the Citizens Advise Bureau Spain website.

All the information is available HERE. As a pensioner, it's an absolute must have. It may take several weeks to get here, but as you have an NIE, getting it registered will be straightforward

If you actually have a SIP card, it will have on the reverse the name of your allocated doctor and health centre.
