Fiona and me are looking to move to the Safor area to live next year.  However prior to purchasing a property we want to rent for 12 months, to make sure we are happy to commit to the area for the rest of our lives.

I am finding it very difficult to find real estate agents who provide the service.

Does anyone know of a company who provide long term lets?

Kind regards

John

If you are UK passport holders you cannot rent in Spain for a 12 months period, since Brexit you are restricted to 90 days maximum stay. To rent and stay for a 12 months period you would need to apply for the NLV in the UK which has an income requirement for a couple of 34000€ per year plus you would need private medical insurance to then start your residency application in Spain.

Morning Paolo,

We are Irish passport holders so are still part of Europe. That's why we are looking to stay for a 12 month period before possibly buying and staying.

Thank you for your response.

John

Hi John

In Oliva, I know of two agencies which provide long-term rentals:

https://olivacasas.com/

https://www.immoabroad.com/

You may find some rentals on: https://www.habitaclia.com/

Alternatively, I've seen people post their requirements on the local Facebook pages to recieve details of other rentals not necessarily listed with an agency, so Oliva Tattler, Gandia Connect & Gandia Grapevine.

Good luck

Although you are EU passport holders, you still have to sign the strangers register after 90 days and if you stay over 183 days you will become Spanish tax residents.
