The Quiron phoned the result through and said to quarantine for 15 days - i explained i have had the sympton for ten days already but regrettably the language barrier made it difficult for me to get clarification. Googling like mad my husband can only find English and WHO advice which is 10-14 days after first symptons.

Also, i think he said i should go for another test in ten days time - again WHO say this is no longer necessary. We don't know where to find definitive Spanish guidelines - can anybody help please?

Hi ChrisandDee

So sorry to hear this. I hope you’re not too unwell.

As far as I’m aware, french martini is the only forum member that might be able to help. I know she, and her daughter, were diagnosed quite early on in the pandemic. Hopefully she will see this and get in touch.

Look after yourself 🤪🥂

I am so sorry to read that you have caught COVID-19.  Please tell us your symptoms. So many people are affected in different ways.  Is your husband ok? How will he avoid catching it? It won’t be easy.  I am told that we are safer outside as opposed to being in small rooms together so if you felt well enough to sit in your garden and away from him when he is cooking / cleaning, that might help.

Any idea how you caught it particularly with all the mask wearing?

Just get well soon.

I have no idea where i picked the virus up; supermarket, zenia boulevard, couple of local bars in playa Flamenca??

Two weeks ago today i had high temperature and aches and pains. Lasted two days. Third day was a little better but i just kept falling asleep. Then i had cold like symptons. Had a bad dizzy spell and threw up. On about 8th day i felt awful again, swollen glands, pains in my head and face - decided time i had to see someone. Tested positive for mild covid. Ironically, the next day i started feeling much better, although very tired - they prescribed 3 x antibiotics - Azitromicina Alter - maybe they helped.

My husband is awaiting his test results but has no symptoms.

I should mention in March we both had started persistent cough, very sore throats and extreme fatigue exactly the same time - lasted in all about two weeks. Never got tested but both of us feel pretty sure it was covid?

Hope that helps.

Wow, that doesn’t sound good. Ohhh, that’s actually frightening. You poor girl, it’s the last thing you or anyone would want. It seems like you have been very poorly and so lucky that you aren’t living alone with nobody to care for you. You and your husband may have had it in March but why did you get it again? Were the symptoms similar or could you have had a “normal “ ‘flu?  That must have been one hell of a shock to find that you actually have coronavirus.

Be wise and DO NOT even attempt to get out of bed. Listen to your body. Stay in bed and allow your husband to nurse you back to good health. Try to eat only organically produced fruits and vegetables. Be good to yourself . Absolutely no gadding about even in your house. This is a verypowerful and virulent virus. Your body has managed to fight it and get you feeling a little better. You must help your body by being sensible and allowing your sick body to completely heal itself. Drink lots of water, eat good fruit, sleep. You are convalescing now. Enjoy being pampered and must if all, BE WISE. IF you don’t, you could be left with a weakness that will never go away. Just get better, that’s all you have to do. Slowly but surly. I probably sound like your mother but I am an old mother and know what I am talking about.

I wish you a very speedy recovery. X
