How many Spanish Family and Friends are allowed to get together in a single villa. This weekend we had 12  people all spanish

staying or visiting in a rental Villa next door. Is this number allowed within Spanish Covid 19 restrictions. The noise was

 horrendous.

I found the answer in the details below.

No limitations to the number of friends or relatives allowed to visit.

I found a completed list of the New Normality in the Valencian community: Questions and Answers. brilliant,

You can find the list at, Assn de Vecinos Cabo Roig y Lomas, under the heading;Expanded Rules for New.Normal

As far as I can gather it is 20 guests and the family members no matter how many family members there are! Not sure if this relates to a rental though. Possibly different if it is a tourist rental.

This behaviour is so antisocial, they have no filter, they neither know nor care how their actions impact others.

They say empty vessels make the most noise.

Perhaps politely ask them to just keep the level of noise down.

Most people will respond nicely to politeness.

Hi Philip,

Is the rental property legal, i.e. it has a tourist licence?  If yes, then it would be worth having a polite word with the renters and/or the owner; if it's not, call the Guardia Civil  ;o)

Kind regards,

Kim

Hi Philip,

If I remember from Davebev1's guides, owners have to display their licence number at the property - I can't remember if that's inside or outside, but it will be in here:

Davebev1's guides: Renting out your property as a holiday let in Spain

Alternatively, as permission needs to be given by the Ayuntamiento (Town Hall) to support the licence application, you could ask there.  The process, including reasons for when Ayuntamientos can decline, is also covered in the guide.

Kind regards,

Kim

The rental license limits the number who can sleep/stay overnight at the property. The covid restrictions apply regarding daytime visitors.

If you suspect the property does not have a license then report to the police. The administrator or president should be aware of all licensed properties on the community. Also contact the owner and tell them their house guests are holding noisy parties.
