2 days trip from UK to Spain

If my friend is coming to Spain on Tuesday and going back to England on Thursday would the negative covid test result she gets on Monday in the UK be enough for her return?

She'll take a test here when she gets here to avoid problems but the rule says a test to be taken 'in the 3 days before the service on which you will arrive in England departs'. She will have taken one in England which will be within 3 days.

Has anyone taken a short trip England-Spain and know what must be done?

Has she had both her vaccinations in England? If so she doesn't need to take a test to fly from England to Spain just her vaccination certificate and Spanish locator form.

Then an antigen in Spain for her return flight and a Day 2 test when home but bought before her return flight, you have to put the unique reference number on the uk locator form.

This is as it stands today, if Spain goes on the Amber plus list then she will need tests on days 2 and 8 and quarantine for 10 days in England.

But in your scenario no that wouldn't work, it states ' on the service you arrive in England ' that can't be the outbound flight as it is arriving in Spain.
