We are thinking of buying an apartment on one of the golf resorts, not sure which, for investment purposes.

We are still deciding whether to go for a golf resort or coastal resort.  We are looking in the Muria area under 100 euros.  We are not sure which is best for rental and have spoken with lots of estate agents who don’t seem to give an answer either way.

We are flying out next week

Advice appreciated, thank you

One approach might be to look at what people are asking in rents (via the various websites), and compare with what they are asking in purchase costs, then rank the resorts by % return.

But beware ... there are golf resorts that were never finished, look like ghost towns, have no services, are bank owned, and where the golf course itself is no longer playable.  Flats on these resorts have little value and are unattractive to renters.

Buying in Spain is still a heart decision, not a head decision.

If you have £100k purely to invest, you might be better off doing it in the UK ... a market you understand.

Good advice, Great full received and has echoed our own thoughts, especially the maintenance fees.

Thank you

Be careful. Spanish properties are still a volatile investment risk. The property markets are still depressed although there are small signs of recovery. Its the time to buy but significant returns on your investment could take years. Think seriously about investing £100000 in an unsure housing market that to be honest relies so heavily on the healthy economy of so many countries. There are better investment vehicles for your £100000

Hi

Can you tell me the maintenance fees and we would like to rent out, is this possible.

We will look but be on the cautious side and not rush into anything quickly
