Property wanted to rent: Ground floor rental property wanted for 4-8 weeks (Dec & January)

Hoping someone can help. We have a friend who has just sold their house in France and is returning to Spain. They need to be out by 14th December, and have signed a contract to rent an apartment near Cabo Roig. However, after signing, it turns out that they are responsible for getting the water and electricity connected, which they’ve been told could take 6-8 weeks, as the property has never been lived in.
So, I’m trying to help find them a reasonably priced rental to tide them over. They are a lovely, older British couple, with 2 small well behaved and clean dogs.
Their furniture is being shipped from France to the rental property this weekend, so they want somewhere fairly near. If anyone can help please, it would be much appreciated. Please private message me. Thank you in advance to anyone who can help.
