Hi,

Can someone please explain this to me, i have been told that you have to pay import tax on my car I have brought over from the UK, I have also been told that if you get the ITV & plates change with in 60 days of your first Padron you are exempt from paying this tax can someone please give me the correct on this,

The second thing you were told is correct, according to the expert Graham Shelton:

In another of his articles, he refers to the need for a baja consular, but I don't know if this is still required:

Neil if you are a resident you apparently have 30 days to start the procedure if not its probably 6 months however check your insurance as that's a minefield I did mine  4 years ago 2002 Renault cost about 600€ + headlights my solicitor charged me 120€ In that the rest was itv engineers report and tax stuff

But it does depend what the Spanish value your car at
