Could anyone give us advice on tax allowances please.  We are currently doing our first tax return in Spain and have been given the figure we need to pay the tax authorities here.  The allowances we have been given seem quite low compared to what we've seen previously and we've also been told we have to pay it both community and nationally.  

Any light that can be shed would be greatly appreciated.
