Why? I went to another supplier and the only difference was switching to day night tariff, you. have 25 €a month standing charge anybody you might have an insurance you don't know about 5-6€a month I changed to day night with iberdrola and have saved between 40-65 €a month actually more than I would from siesta

Iberdrola owns all the infrastructure, the rest are resellers with an uncertain future. Don't expect huge savings. If your resellers disappears face considerable reconnection charges.

As you said, Iberdrola (now called I-DE) owns the infrastructure, but the energy, is not produced just by Iberdrola. All the energy produced in Spain, goes to an auction where many companies will buy it in order to sell it to you. It depends on the company the price you will pay for the enegy. In case that any of that companies disappear, your electricity will not be cut off and you will not get charged for any reconnection. You will automatically be redirected to any "CUR company" that will charge you for the energy according to what the Spanish government has approved.
