What is the best firestick to take over to Spain and do they work if you buy them in the UK?

Can anyone tell me the best firestick to buy in the uk. I have heard they do not work when they used in Spain. Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.  Many thanks.

Yes, they work in Spain. Many thousands can attest to it!

They do of course need setting up properly with a VPN etc.

Buy the 4K Max, it's significantly faster than the 4K and for a fiver more well worth it.

I tried to set my new firestick up in the U.K. ready to take to Spain but apparently some internet providers do block you from using certain aspects of them I read online, plenty of people in Spain offer to fully load your own firestick which is what I intend to have done in a few weeks time

You can download an app called Tvmucho onto your Firestick and then you won't need a VPN.

Tvmucho provides almost all UK freeview channels plus catchup. I've been using Tvmucho for several years.

No, kodi is not required, just download Tvmucho and install it on your Firestick, computer, laptop, ipad or phone. The app will work on either!

A few bits off misleading info around:

A firestick bought anywhere will work anywhere where there is an internet connection for it to use.

But certain content on certain apps can be "geo restricted" which is why when using official apps you may need a VPN to bypass these restrictions. eg BBC iPlayer is "georestricted" to UK IP addresses, so you need a VPN to get around this if wanting to use it in other countries.

But certain content, like that made by Amazon or Netflix will be available all around the world with no restrictions. If they made the content, then they own the content, so make it available to all. It is content that is not made by them, but other programme makers, that can be restricted on a country by country basis, hence why you may find that content available on Prime or Netflix in the Uk, is not available on Prime or Netflix in Spain.

Hence it is totally fine to use a firestick Fire TV device in Spain, even with your UK Amazon address, but you will simply be offered the content that they have the rights to for the country you are using.

Unofficial / third party apps, like tvmucho, dont need this, as they do the bypassing for you. Or just pirate it directly.

Amazon have just announced a new range of firesticks etc... so keep an eye out for them

To make things simple..........

Even in Spain, using Tvmucho app, you don't need a vpn to get most freeview channels.

Easy to install and use.

Hi. Thank you for all the advice. What is the best firestick to buy from amazon in the uk that will enable me to get a range of English channels quickly and simply. I am not very computer literate. I would need it for a TV. Not a laptop.
