my husband and i have just been to centro de salut which thought was the medical centre to register but it is closed. On their website it said it is open. I am on very strong pain medication and am getting very low. All i want is a prescription.  Can anyone help?

If you are not registered in the Spanish health system then it's probably quickest to go to a pharmacy and see if they will sell you what you need over the counter.

You sould be OK if you have an old prescription or a box from what you want. Pharmacies in and around the popular 'Little Britains' are the best to try your luck with.

Hi Ray

As you know, I’m not resident and fortunately, have never needed to source medical assistance 🤞. I’d always thought that if I did need to, I would go to the Centro de Salud with EHIC, passport and travel insurance, much as you’ve described in “short term visitor”. You differentiate between this and “non resident” but I’m unclear what the difference is. So I can be sure I follow the correct pathway, can you expand this for me please🤪🥂

I am not currently living in Spain but have always found the chemist to be the place to get advice ! Take your current medication with you and ask ! Good luck Jeff
