Hi all

Can anyone recommend a local (Punta Prima or nearby) notary?

I’d appreciate any solid recommendations for professional and reliable notaries who speak English

Thanks

This is probably more complicated than it seems at first sight. You say you inherited, but apparently did not register the property on your name. Did you pay inheritance tax in time? Did you set up a so called "aceptación de herencia" and also "acta de notoriedad"?

I'm sure a local notary will be able to handle all this - I'm looking for a recommendation

As you have waited over five years to register this you will not pay inheritance tax.   Its not recommended to do that though as the haciender gives out a heft fine if  they find outbefore the five years are up.

I believe inheritance has to do done within six months.

You will not have to pay the castral valor either.
