Thanks Pedro, we are non resident, I take it this makes a difference. Just to let everyone know my 2 month bill consisted of approx €70 in service charges in a total of €82 !!!

I am non resident too. This is a bill for November and December 23. We were at the house for 16 days during this period.

Ah, it’s that the format is different from mine. I think I’d be cheaper getting my water from LIDL !!!

I take it that was you first bill after 2 months. Water bills are normally every 3 months. There will probably be some additions for supply at the outset as well.

They are also reclaiming waste water charges which they put into abeyance for some time due to the financial crisis so you will find you will be charged double for that service over the next 14 months or so. 

Before they put the waste water charges into abeyance, our average quarterly bills was around 50 euro. Then it went right down to 35 euro but has now gone up over the 50 euro mark again to 52 euro.

We also used to pay the charge for rubbish collection on our water bill but that's now taken as a separate tax.

I think your next quarterly bill be less than the one you've just paid.

We paid around 35 euros in the past, even if we didn't use any water in our holiday place. I went to ask in the office, as I thought somebody was taking our water. They explained, that it is very expensive to supply drinking water and you pay into the scheme extra money.
