We are unsure what is the best way to cool our apartment down in the summer and what is the best air con to install we have only had our apartment x 2years and really struggling with the heat more so for sleeping at night in the summer   .Some say mobile air con is good others say is false economy.

Any one like to give us their advice on this

Thanks Barbara

Mobile Air Conditioning units tend to be noisier because the compressor is located inside. They also require  a hose leading to the outside to get rid of the heat. Personally I'd go for a split system with the indoor unit on the wall within the room and outdoor unit usually fixed directly outside. All now are economic hot and cold inverter units and cheap to run.

I agree with all the comments above about mobile units and inverters. I have got inverters and they are very efficient.

Just a suggestion, but why not have a chat with Ben (The Refrigeration Man) on 675 895 207. I'm sure he will give you a good price and do a good job if you decide to go with him. Tell him I put you in touch.

Geoff.

This post that was quoted has been deleted.

Thank you we appreciate what you told us and I think we will go for the fitted air con and start to look around for prices .We were told that before you can put up  a ceiling fan we need to reinforce  where the fan would be hanging ?????.

Thanks again

Hi Barbara.

He supplied and fitted one for us on Friday, and we're delighted with it.

Geoff.
