We will be staying in the La Entrada Apartments for three weeks in July, and would like to know if there are likely to be any beach bars on the Rocio del Mar coast.  The three that were there (2 x Sunrise + Bola Bola) all closed in July last year.

Also, is the small bar on Punta Prima beach still open?

Many thanks in advance

Steve & Joy.

That's bad news.

It means we are stuck with the Nautilus which doesn't have the same relaxed atmosphere.

Punta Prima is no longer such an attractive destination.

The three bars on the Rocio del Mar coast, south of the Nautilus, appear to have gone for good.  We need an entrepreneur to come and open a new one  -  there would be no shortage of customers!

The Chiringuita bar on the Punta Prima beach has re-opened (not in time for our July stay, unfortunately) but is very busy, unsurprisingly.

We ended up using a group of beach bar/restaurants on the way into Torrevieja, at the bottom of Calle Montesinos behind the Dialprix supermarket.   The bus stops near there, and there is parking.   There is no sandy beach, but people do go in swimming from a walkway over the rocks.

I hope this is helpful.
