Hola Ladies and Gentlemen!

Can anyone recommend a good and trustworthy Plumber in the Punta Prima/Playa Flamenca area? I have a leak, a slow drip from the bottom of my electric water heater. I think (I am hoping) it might just be the seal.

A picture attached. Brand of boiler/heater is Simat.

Cheers! Glad to have this great forum to connect with people.

Andy.

I am no expert & no plumber. As a consumer. I think its terminal compare repair or replace. Think replace. Villas

I think I bought a new one for around 180 mark. I agree with Villas - replace.

I have recently installed three of these water heater types. One leaking from the top and the other the bottom, the other was a brand new install. The units my customers have chosen are from Leroy Merlin, the 80L (for 2 people) is 89€ and the 100L version is 99€.

http://www.leroymerlin.es/fp/5005_eq1/5005-eq1-equation-eq1?pathFamilaFicha=5005&uniSelect=undefined&ancho=undefined

The problem with a leaking unit is it is typically an indicator of a bigger issue going on inside. See attached pic as an example!

By the time you have paid someone good money to 'take a look' you may as well have had a new install.

Hope it helps
