Hello, I am travelling to Spain September 28 th,after being there late July,so am familiar with the  covid protocol, as in apps required to enter Spain, and UK ,locator form, etc,I am just holding on to book my "antigen 72 hours or less test "for return to uk wiith the same clinica I used last time,as when I look at the gov.uk website it says you are advised to take a pcr test, but how to interpret " advised"im not sure,it doesn't mean compulsory, or say that any of the other tests are sufficient ,if anyone flying to the UK around that time could tell me what they are doing it would be appreciated.

Ray

Hi Ray,

You've correctly interpreted the (typically confusing!) language from the UK government - if you are double vaccinated, the "fit to fly" test can be Antigen, the PCR test is "advisory", not mandatory.

Kind regards,

Kim

Ray,

If you are returning to the UK after October 4th, you will no longer require any test to enter the UK from Spain if you are double vaccinated. That is the UK official guideline.

Hi Ray,

Gov.UK has now updated its website, so this is the latest for travel to England (it also includes links for Scotland, Wales and N.Ireland, as the rules may vary):

https://www.gov.uk/government/news/new-system-for-international-travel

I'd recommend bookmarking this page, so that you can check back for further changes anticipated at the end of October.

Kind regards,

Kim
