Dear all,

Further to my post last week:

Delay to face masks no longer required in medical settings

I can now advise that the Spanish Government has finally approved lifting the requirement to wear face masks in medical settings, the exception being if you're visiting someone in hospital who is immuno-suppressed, e.g. they're having chemotherapy for the treatment of cancer.

Kind regards,

Kim

Many people were still wearing their masks yesterday in our health centre, as was I.

I was at the Villajoyosa hospital yesterday and it was about 50-50 with mask wearers. I wore mine but the doctor I spoke with didn't wear one........

So it's very much your own choice.

That's your prerogative, but the point of my post is to provide an update that it is no longer a mandatory requirement.

Hi

I was in Torrevieja hospital yesterday for colonoscopy - no mask needed, which was a pleasant surprise! But they then sat me in Oncology to recover for a few minutes, with a mask on.

Cheers

Steve

Anybody who has had a transplant is immunosuppressed. The staff and patients are still wearing theirs in the Nefrologia Department.

I shall be wearing mine I  the doctors, farmacia, hospital and busy shops.

Personal choice.

Unfortunately it will take time for people to revert to not wearing masks ,as, in all countries the protection. offered by a piece of cloth ,normally slung under the nose, for a basically ,uncomfortable bout of flu ,was vastly overrated by authorities desperate for their populations to show a sign of compliance to their decrees, hence, wearing a mask.

That's because Governments didn't ask their populations to wear "a piece of cloth ,normally slung under the nose" (sic), but unfortunately those who felt they knew more than the World's expert virologists and epidemiologists - the same ones who thought Covid was an "uncomfortable bout of flu" - did exactly that, without a care for anyone except themselves.

We still use FP3 masks when we go to dodgy areas.

In line with all the decrees and mumbo jumbo from " experts" in the medical profession and the government I wore a mask ,as it was supposed to be worn, through long and uncomfortable hot summers, all around, victims, mainly unfit from lifestyle choices or infirm from a long life, many burning candles at both ends, who succumbed to illnesses of all descriptions, most avoidable, but with one constant thread, all were labelled "Covid" in order to justify the extraordinary restrictions imposed unilaterally. The current virtue signalling of continuing to wear masks in daily life is the result of how successful some of the people were fooled all of the time.
