Can anyone advise me, am I liable for paying tax? I own a home in Spain and I am currently having a battle trying to obtain non lucrative visa's for my husband and I here in England. Also I have a Santander account over there and each month they charge me 16 euros for contract payment? Does anyone know what this relates to?

Thank you.

Conditions: The Cuenta Mundo for non-residents is a non-interest bearing current account1 with a maintenance fee of € 16 per month (NIR 0%; APR: -1.32%). To open this account, all you need is to be over 18 years of age and to be non-resident in Spain.

Once you become resident you will have to close the non-resident account anyway.

If you give details of the problems you are having obtaining NLVs maybe we can help.

Thank you so much for your quick reply, much appreciated.

We are having alot of problems with the consulate in London  trying to secure NLV we are awaiting a 3rd interview after incorrect information from our Spanish lawyers, and documents  were deemed out of date now, the documents will be out of date again as they have not after five emails replied to give us a interview so we will have to start the whole tedious and expensive rigmarole again(help) But if you go on their website and read all the reviews it is really disheartening.  Would really appreciate some tips on dealing with this.

Thank you once again.
