If I bring an NHS Covid 19 Self Test to Spain, can I then take it to a clinic and use it for a fit to fly test and obtain a Certificate for flying back to the U.K. if so, which clinics do this. I live in Rojales but happy to travel.

NHS tests
NHS tests cannot be used for the purpose of pre-departure testing before travel to England.
You cannot take an NHS test abroad with you to use on yourself before you return.

At this moment, you have to purchase a private test as a fit to fly to return to the U.K.
You have two options on this:
You can either book a test at any of the clinics/ farmacias in Spain providing this service or
You can bring a test with you from the U.K. from suppliers including C19, Co-op Pharmacy etc. This is a self test which on receipt of a photo of your test result next to your passport, they email the certificate.

From 4th October s pre-departure test is not needed if you are fully vaccinated and day 2 test will be lateral flow not pcr.

For the fully jabbed, rules are changing
If you are returning back to England from the 4th 0ctober you will not require a fit to fly antigen test.
You will still need to complete a passenger locator form and sometime in October (exact date not yet announced) the Day 2 PCR test will be changed to the cheaper antigen test.
No announcements yet for travelling to NI, Wales or Scotland.
