We have been looking at properties with a view to purchasing soon and seek recommendations for a reputable legal  representative to take us through the process of buying a holiday home and wills etc.

We are here in Spain for 3 more days and would like to  meet one to establish communication before  we head home

Thank you !

We use Fontanel in Rojales, just down the road from Quesada, excellent services. Been with them for over 4 years. They had power of attorney and sorted everything out while we were still in the UK.

Good luck

Hi Arionmmac,

I'd recommend Silvia at SGM Abogados in Benijofar.  She's a Spanish lawyer and speaks English:

https://sgmlegalspain.com/

Unless your estate is complex, I would recommend using a Will specialist, such as Thy Will Be Done, who are also based in Benijofar and will be cheaper than a lawyer:

https://thywill.es/

Alternatively, you could also go direct to a Spanish notary to make your Will, which will be the least expensive option, many speak English, but check this first if you don't speak Spanish.

Kind regards,

Kim

We used Fontanels for more than 10 years. They are excellent. They not only do conveyancing, we had an annual contract with them and they’d sort out any problems with Hidraqua, Ibedrola etc.

Fontanals in Lo Maribou, by Eurodentist and the

Excellent,  we gave them power of attorney and they did everything,  including registering us for utilities and local taxes. They can draw up your will, do your tax returns also.

We have found them very helpful.

You say you have an annual contract with them. What do they charge for this annual contract? Do they charge extra if they actually do anything for you? Interested because we have this- not with your solicitor and wondered what others charge.

We used Alfred Manchon Abogados in

Almoradi.  He was brilliant, looked after everything for us as we gave him power of attorney.  His English is very good and everything went through smoothly.  I would definitely recommend him
