Hi everyone, great news after 2 weeks I had official notification that I had a NLV. The process was easy as long as you are aware of what is needed. I only used a solicitor for the apostles, all other requirements I organized myself. Looking forward to being legal in Spain .

Well done! 👏

One or two members getting through the process successfully now

Would you want to do a guide to “how it was for you”?

If you wanted a bit of a pointer, Kimmy11 did an excellent guide recently, for exchanging residencia for TIE. This sort of good information is gratefully received by others who can feel a bit overwhelmed by the process.

I’m hopefully going to go through the process myself later this year and would welcome any help 👍🤪🥂

So, i have finally got news of an appointment for the 7th of October in Manchester Consulate after 3 weeks of trying. I'm a bit nervous on what to expect? We have the funds in a savings account here in the UK and pension income evidence too, does anyone know if thats all they ask for, or do they want evidence of current account etc?

I understand that they will also require a police background report.

Hi,we took our bank statements, pension paperwork, Spanish house information, anything that showed we could support ourselves in Spain, also our private health insurance. We let them decide what to photocopy. It is better to have more than what you need than having your appt with insufficient information. Best of luck,we traveled by train and caught the free bus which drops you on the correct street for the consulate. We also took the recorded delivery envelope with us for them to post back our passports, you can go back and pick up but we lived in Lincoln so it was a trek. Good luck
