...anish medical phrases side by side covering men and womens ailments and problems ,we used it everywhere when undertaking medical visits and it is a great ice breaker, with a sense of humour and a smattering of basic Spanish you have no need to employ expensive interpreters and make many friends.

20 years ,have done all my own admin, driving licence,S1,Residencia,SIP ,Spanish wills( diy costs €50 at a Notary) ,buying and selling five houses ,been through Cancer treatment at Elda and Valencia, not all plain sailing but through it all we had a good laugh and made many good friends.

Our first house had yellow stickers everywhere with spanish names of everything,a teach yourself spanish tape on loudspeaker and a reluctance to converse in english when out and about, pronunciations initially caused a lot of mirth locally but everyone remembered us and hand shaking and stopping in the street to chat made going out enjoyable.Best thing we ever did!

Thank you for your reply, we live on a urbanisation but would like to try spanish town or village, maybe salinas near sax. Thank you
