Hi Ros. You could Google ‘garden centres near me’. There are plenty of them within a few kms. There are a couple on the roads between SM and Montesinos - both the road past Top Car and the lower road nearer the lake. The garden centre on the AP7 Roundabout going towards Torrevieja has good plant stock, and there is one just off the CV95 a little further on, past the Doña Monse Hotel.
Plenty to choose from, so hopefully you’ll find what you’re looking for. Good luck.

If it isn't too far for you to go, the big Chinese shop on the same side of the road near the Overseas British supermarket in Torrevieja (next to Petrol Station) today had several in-flower bottle brush plants in pots.
I don't know how much they were but they looked very healthy. Look inside as well because there were more in there as well as some outside in the 'garden centre' bit.
