Getting more confused by the day with regard to above.

We will have spent 90 days in Spain, on 3 separate visits, from May to November 4th when we leave.

The rule for Schengen countries says "rolling 90 days" . Does this mean that we can return after 3 months???

Please enlighten me.

Or use the Schengen calculator.

For any period of 180 days you cannot be in Spain (Schengen generally) for more than 90 days.

Can it be clearer?

Have you actually read the link I provided, it explains it very clearly. Nobody can trell you exactly what you can do unless you provide all the dates you have been in the Schengen zone in the last 180 days and the dates you wish to return.

I understand that but the confusion is as when I can return. Different sites say different things and causing confusion!!

Use the schengen calculator:

I put in some random dates.

The 180 days moves as time rolls on.

Put in your dates, don't over-think it, and it will tell you how many days you have left and until when.

Each time you put in entry and departure dates it will let you know how many days you have left out of the 180.

Any site that says anything other than this is wrong and you should ignore it.

I think the person asking the question simply wants to know how long they must wait until they are allowed to return. The 90 days have been used up between the months of May and early November. In or around 155 days   So, will they be obliged to spend 25 at home to use up the rolling 180 days and thereafter, are they permitted to use another 90 days in their next rolling 180?    That’s what I think they are asking.

There is only one period of 90 days permitted in any period of 180 days.

"I think" or  "in or around" have no bearing. It's 90 in a rolling 180 - that's it.
